European Prize for Women Innovators: Key insights for a winning application

Luxinnovation, in partnership with Startup Luxembourg, cordially invites all Luxembourg-based women founders and C-Level executives, aspiring women entrepreneurs, researchers, NGOs, associations, SMEs, and other interested parties supporting women-led enterprises to a dedicated information session on the 2023-2024 European Prize for Women Innovators. This event will take place on 11 September 2023 at 9am at the Luxinnovation building in Belval.

If you are a woman with an innovative company registered in the European Union or a country affiliated with Horizon Europe, you may qualify to apply for the European Prize for Women Innovators. Managed by the European Innovation Council and the European Institute for Innovation & Technology, this prize recognises and honours women entrepreneurs for their outstanding and groundbreaking innovations that have a positive impact on people lives and/or the planet.

Cash prizes ranging from €20,000 to €100,000 are available for winners and runners-up in three categories: Women Innovators, Rising Innovators, and the EIT Women Leadership Award.

The objective of this information session is to raise awareness on the open call for applications, clarify the rules of contest and eligibility criteria, encourage applications from Luxembourg for the three prize categories, and explain the various mechanisms available to support women innovators during and beyond the current prize application process.

Participants will learn about how Luxinnovation and Startup Luxembourg support women founders at the forefront of innovation. They will also hear firsthand accounts by previous European funding recipients from Luxembourg, who have also benefitted from EIC mentoring and coaching. Further discussions will follow during the Q&A session.
