Luxembourg-based startup myNextdoor has launched its new marketplace for storage space. It is Luxembourg's first of its kind marketplace that connects people who have space with people who need space. Spaces ranging from basements to garages to lofts can be rented on a daily or monthly basis.

The platform aims to solve the problem faced by many in Luxembourg and other cities where there is limited space to store personal belongings, household items or vehicles.

The platform, which is currently free to use and open to anyone, allows users to search and find self-storage units and parking spaces in their area. It also allows them to make direct contact with the owners of the storage and parking spaces, negotiate a price and reach an agreement all online.

We know that finding a space is a struggle, which is why we have made it our mission to help people find their perfect storage space.” Violeta Semenova, co-founder of myNextdoor

She adds: “The parking is a big problem in the Luxembourg city. For that reason we have decided to offer a service allowing drivers to swap their parking spaces. They can simply list their available parking space for the day, and swap for a parking space in a different location.”

The Luxembourgish start-up is based on a win-win principle: the provider of the storage or parking space gains income, while the user saves money on renting a garage or a cellar. The platform operates in Luxembourg and Belgium.
