Hackathon Open Data x '{"lang":"lb"}'

This event organised by the GovTech Lab in collaboration with the Information and Press Service (SIP) and the Zenter fir d’Lëtzebuerger Sprooch (ZLS) is a two-day collaborative hackathon.

The objective of the Open Data Hackathon x '{"lang": "lb"}' is multidisciplinary collaboration to develop ideas for innovative tools that use and build on the linguistic data made available by the ZLS, including datasets from the Lëtzebuerger Online Dictionnaire (LOD) and data collected in the context of the schreifmaschinn.lu project.

This event is open to any participant with an interest in Open Data and data related to the Luxembourgish language. Examples of profiles: data scientist, developer, UX designer, project manager, business analyst, researcher, data journalist, etc.

You can register as groups of 4-6 people or individually. In the latter case, individual participants can either join an existing team or create their own. Please register as soon as possible, as the number of participants is limited!

There are many interesting data sets readily available on data.public.lu, which can be useful for your next projects. Discuss the data sets directly with the main data producers in the domain.

Develop your creativity

Creativity is clearly an asset to all problem-solving. However, creativity is like a muscle and needs regular exercise. By brainstorming and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds, you will stimulate and exercise your creativity and come back to the office with lots of new ideas.

Learn new tricks

Collaborate among a multidisciplinary team and discover new tools and techniques, which could be useful for your daily job. Practice your analysis and prototyping skills in a time-constrained environment.

Networking opportunities

You will have many opportunities to chat with other participants and data producers. Presenting your concepts to the other participants will give you a unique opportunity to get feedback from your peers.
