For its 12th edition, the Fit 4 Start programme is enlarging its offer by giving access for up to 5 startups to Luxembourg’s brand new petascale High Performance Computer (HPC). This track addresses young and innovative companies that are dealing with large amounts of data, data analytics and HPC.
In all sectors of the economy, new products and digital solutions require the use of data, simulation and high computational workloads. Startups and SMEs must master these new technologies to sustain the pace of transformation led by the big players and to remain competitive.
Large amount of data, which is sometimes compared to the new gold, must be analysed to be valuable and HPC is an indispensable tool to do this.
To help startups adapt to these digital challenges, Luxinnovation and the Ministry of the Economy, in partnership with LuxProvide, wanted to make the Fit 4 Start 12th edition special: out of the 20 startups selected, up to 5 will benefit from a tailored track including access to the expertise of the Luxembourg HPC MeluXina and a possibility to access the Meluxina infrastructure.
Granting access to MeluXina via Fit 4 Start is a very strong competitive advantage to the selected high potential startups in the acceleration programme across industries, says Stefan Berend, Head of Start-up Acceleration at Luxinnovation. We believe this is an outstanding opportunity for highly ambitious tech entrepreneurs to deliver cutting edge products and solutions to European markets.”
This track is cross-sectorial and goes far beyond Space, Healthtech and ICT, which means that startups from all sectors can apply, for example startups coming from agritech, cleantech, edutech, logistics, or manufacturing.
